Susan Schlee er historiker av Sjøforsvaret, som spesialiserer seg i historien om oseanografi i XIX th og XX th århundrer.

Opplæring

I 1974 mottok hun Pfizer-prisen for boken The Edge of an Unfamiliar World: A History of Oceanography (New York: Dutton, 1973).

Hun publiserte også On Almost Any Wind: The Saga of the Oceanographic Research Vessel Atlantis i 1978.
